The inauguration emphasized the building’s simplicity, magnificence, and significant position in the port of Piraeus, highlighting its connection to both the sky and the sea.

A photo exhibition featuring portraits of the team who contributed to the building’s renovation was the first highlight of the event, displayed at the building’s entrance.

A blue ribbon stretched from the entrance to the stage, where the Mayor of Piraeus, Ioannis Moralis, the Managing Director of Piraeus Tower S.A., Dimitris Andriopoulos, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis delivered their speeches.

This was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a 45-minute music and light show.

A live orchestra of 30 musicians from the Philharmonia Orchestra of Athens, directed by Nikolaos Maliaras, performed “Thalassa” by Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis, composed for the occasion.

Synchronized to the music, 360 drones formed patterns over the port, culminating in the Tower’s logo. Lasers and lights connected the Tower to the port, while 600 fireworks from the roof lit up the sky.

YARD, with a team of over 150 professionals, handled the event’s conception, design, content, and execution.
